Well, that's all very well and good, and your graphic is terrific, only I live in Eugene, and no one has ever told me what MY city was built on top of. Do you know?
Well, I don't know, hon, but the time's I've been to E-town I couldn't help coming away with the feeling that elves used to hand out around there somewhere.
Elves? You get unicorns, and all we get are a bunch of lousy elves? No fair. I would at least like fairies, or lost Vikings or Martians with a failed carburetor.
P.S. "Hon"? Guys don't usually call me that, but I'm not complaining. I've surely been called a lot worse, often by women who do, at times, call me hon.

In Re: Elves … well, it's just an impression I had. I like Eugene quite a bit but even though I'm an Oregon native I haven't spent nearly as much time in Eugene as I'd of liked. So it's more of an impression than anything else.
Organize an expedition! Why not? Disguise it as a brewpub crawl and none of "them" need be the wiser.
Frankly, I like the idea of a Martian with a busted carburetor.
In Re "Hon": I'm glad you weren't offended by that. I grew up around the sort of people who go out to diners all the time where the waitresses call you "hon", and I guess it's just a part of my warp and woof. I realize it might be seen as a little overly-friendly or even condescending, though, so I try to ride herd on it. But from me, it's just a term of endearment. B-)
