The Periodic Table Of Oregon

1974.The previous periodic table inspired me to create one of my own.

Clicky here to embiggen. It's not finished – I want to create some column headings and add a bit more decoration, but there's the meat of it right there.

It's a big NW-Oregon centric, but that's where I roll. The Periodic Table is a handy framework, though, so I don't see why there can't be a Periodic Table of Eastern Oregon, etc ...

In the main part, the columns are themes which should be pretty obvious. The "Rare Earths" part, the separated part off below, I reserved for real Oregon characters from the good (Tom McCall) to the bad (Bhagwan Sri Rajeneesh) to the Ugly (Ma Anand Sheela), and creative types (authors and musicians, for example) The last four in the bottom row are just there because they needed to be, and there's no room for them anywhere else.

It's very creative.

Thanks! The big problem was figuring out who to include and who to leave out ... just 110 or so things that are Just So Oregon leaves a lot less room than you think.

There's unicorns though. Must be unicorns.
