Just made a link with a fellow MyDamnChannel habitué who goes by the nom de virtuale of SmokyBanjo. We like the cut of his jib.
Why?
Well, he went ahead and linked here without my asking him, so he has a high degree of good judgement and good taste. But also because here's the sort of thing he posts when he doesn't have anything else to say for the day: a whole bunch of how-tos on lacing your shoes in ways that will make people shake their heads at you and ask if you get out enough:
Welcome, Smokybanjo.

Thank you Samuel or ZehnKatzen, whichever you prefer.
I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Beautiful in a manly way though...
...and no, I don't get out much, I'm in Australia at the moment you see and don't have a job or know anybody here....I'll be home soon...
I think the checkerboard shoe lacing, while cool looking, is the product of a deeply disturbed person.
Say, Sam, thanks for stopping by Transcendental Floss today and leaving a comment.
I enjoyed following your link back to your blog and taking a look around. I like your blog a lot and have added you to our Circle of Blog blogroll.
Seeya around!
I agree with you about the shoelacing, if only because that's the only one whose diagram doesn't give you any sort of a clue where the knot goes. It's kind of like the Möbius Strip of laces.
You're welcome about the comment. Actually, I would that I'd of made it a bit more pithy. It's beyond wearisome that not only do republicans not walk the talk about "fiscal conservatism" (whatever that's supposed to be), but people who regularly support them are more than willing to give them a glassy-eyed past.
America doesn't survive because of them, she survives in spite of them.
And thanks for the link! That's extremely skookum and most welcome. I've admired the cut of your jib and your blog design for quite some time, so thanks doubly there. I'll wear your support with pride.
I'm sporting the Footbag at the moment....not sure why,I guess the name.....intrigued me.
Sam, two things:
1. Regarding, "America doesn't survive because of them, she survives in spite of them." If McCain wins, I'm not so sure about that statement.
2. Thanks for the compliments on the blog design. I will pass the praise on to my friend in Seattle, a web designer who created it for me.

Agreed. America's resilient but not indestructable, and those folks will not give up until that job is done. McCain could seal that deal.

I adore the typography. And the Blog logo is simply genius. The whole thing is intelligent overall and very kind to the eyes.
