(via BoingBoing) Tilt-shift is a technique of photography whose process I don't pretend to understand but who's effects are undeniably captivating and surreal. With it, you can take an aerial photo of a city and make it look like a miniature.
Well, someone's pushed it to the next level, taking low-quality video from a flip-camera and creating these dreamy, surreal tilt-shift animations. They're absolutely captivating, and remind me of the opening scenes from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, only much better:
